Dr John G. Enders was born and raised in central Pa, attending Elizabethtown College then Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia. Internal medicine training was completed at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville Pa., becoming board certified in Internal Medicine.
Following two years with the Army Medical Corps stationed in Bremerhaven, Germany, he transferred to San Francisco, completing a Gastroenterology Fellowship at Letterman Army Medical Center on the Presidio. He became board certified in Gastroenteroloy and spent a third year as attending physician at the same hospital. In June of 1980 he left the military to move closer to family and opened the first gastroenterology practice in Chambersburg, founding Chambersburg Gastroenterology.
He has served as an officer for the Chambersburg Medical Staff and eight years as member of the Chambersburg Hospital Board of Directors. He is married to Connie( 40 years ) and has three sons, John, Daniel and Benjamin as well as a granddaughter. He loves jogging, sailing, biking and hiking and family time. |
